Job Summary
Miller Electric-Prefabrication Designer Reports to the Prefabrication Manager. Responsibilities are focused on supporting Prefabrication Initiatives for the Company. In this role you will be able to contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.  #Miller #LI-JJ1Â
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create Prefabrication Solutions for Construction ProjectsÂ
- Coordinate with Prefabrication Manager on Inputs required for Prefabrication ExecutionÂ
- Provide input on Prefabrication ProcessÂ
- Create Documentation that will inform Prefabrication Team what to build utilizing AutoCAD/Revit/Excel/BluebeamÂ
- Edit and track Prefabrication schedules.Â
- Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materialsÂ
- Performs other duties as assigned by managementÂ
- Demonstrates problem-solving ability and can work under rigorous schedulesÂ
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environmentÂ
Qualifications
- Ability to read & interpret Construction Drawings & Documentation.
- Understanding Construction Project Flows & Sequences.
- Minimum 5 years experience in commercial electrical experience with a focus on conduit fabrication and installation.
- Experience running crews of electricians preferred.
- Membership in the IBEW will be required as a condition for employment (if not currently a member).
- Ability to Draw, dimension & communicate ideas.
- Ability to research and comprehend materials, tools & equipment.
- Experience with Navisworks or Autodesk Construction Cloud Preferred.
- Basic AutoCAD and/or Revit Preferred.
- Bluebeam Preferred.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn and efficiently use software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, and file-sharing platforms.
- COINS experience preferred
Physical Demands
- Ability to work in an industrial environmentÂ
- Ability to maneuver 25+ lbs on a regular basisÂ
- Ability to withstand extended exposure to a computer monitor, which may at times be straining on the eyes Â
