About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Electrician to join our Christchurch Building Services team, supporting a diverse portfolio across Canterbury.
Based out of Paragon Place, this role offers a balance of reactive maintenance, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and minor project works. You’ll work across a range of critical commercial environments, including financial institutions, supermarket and retail portfolios, government agencies, education providers and large-scale facilities, maintaining and servicing electrical systems, switchboards, lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting and associated building services infrastructure.
This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to someone confident managing their workload, maintaining strong client relationships, and delivering high-quality outcomes in the field.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering reactive electrical maintenance across commercial sites
- Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks
- Supporting minor installation, upgrade and remedial works
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults
- Testing and commissioning electrical systems and equipment
- Completing emergency lighting and compliance-related inspections
- Recording work and updates via tablet/iPad job management systems
- Maintaining strong Health & Safety practices onsite
- Providing professional, client-facing best in class service
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Electrician with a current New Zealand practising licence
- Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance
- Strong understanding and commitment to Health & Safety
- Confident communication and client-facing skills
- Comfortable using mobile technology for job management
- Full, clean NZ driver’s licence
