About this role

The position was mainly created to support the Robotics field of ASSO Group. The candidate will assist in the implementation of onshore projects. Manufacture, installation, troubleshooting and repairing of electromechanical assemblies and systems are part of the day-to-day tasks. Qualified candidates will be keen to develop troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Installations / Assemblies and Systems

  • Manufacture equipment used for company projects, including Subsea assemblies, wiring, testing, and repair.
  • Manage spare lists inventory and stock monitoring of electrical/ electronic devices availability.
  • Ordering of electrical/ electronic parts using ERP program (SAP).
  • Utilize calibrations and test equipment when required.
  • Support troubleshooting activities.
  • Participate in project mobilizations, both at the technical base and offshore, when requested.

Offshore Duties (Optional)

  • Periodic participation in the installation of tone injection is required.

General Duties

  • Collaborate effectively with a variety of different field technicians.
  • Assist supervisors and lead engineers with day-to-day tasks.
  • Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as required.
  • Provide input and suggestions for process improvements.
  • Advance training in Electronics, technical trade schools etc.;
  • Must have an electrical or electronics background;
  • 1-2 years proven experience in manufacture, wiring and troubleshooting of electronic devices;
  • Experience in Fiber equipment such as Fusion Splicers and Optical Measuring systems will be considered as an advantage (i.e. OTDR);
  • Experience in Β Serial/Ethernet Communication protocols and devices will be considered as an advantage (i.e. RS232, RS485);
  • Experience in Β video multiplexing systems (i.e Video Matrix, Quad , KVM ) will be considered as an advantage;
  • Experience with Electronics & Electrical system applications and implementation will be an asset;
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English language.
