- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or similar); FEA experience a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally in gears, rotating equipment, or industrial machinery.
- Experience with reverse engineering methods (dimensional inspection, 3D scanning, material analysis).
- Familiarity with CMM inspection techniques.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing documentation (BOMs, routings).
- Familiarity with estimating and material procurement/sourcing.
- Knowledge of gear design theory, metallurgy, and manufacturing processes (hobbing, shaping, grinding, heat treatment).
- Strong project management skills (scheduling, budgeting, cross-functional coordination).
- PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
Physical Demands
- Office-based role with frequent shop floor visits.
- May occasionally lift or move objects up to 20–25 lbs (components, samples, tools).
- Close vision required for detailed part inspections and CAD/drawing review.
- Occasional travel to customer or supplier sites.
Why Join Us
- Be part of a global leader in gear manufacturing.
- Work on diverse, challenging projects that blend engineering design with project management.
