The Role:

Based in Canberra, Adelaide or Sydney, we are looking for Managers and Senior Managers to join our growing Nuclear capability. These roles will suit experienced engineering and project professionals who enjoy leading complex work, guiding teams and delivering outcomes in high-assurance environments.

You’ll play a key role supporting Australia’s naval nuclear capability, working with Defence and industry stakeholders to deliver technically complex projects where safety, assurance and disciplined execution are critical.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the delivery of complex engineering and project activities across high-profile Defence programs
  • Managing multidisciplinary teams, supporting technical delivery and ensuring project outcomes are achieved
  • Providing oversight, direction and decision-making support in highly regulated, high-consequence environments
  • Building trusted relationships with Defence, industry and technical stakeholders
  • Applying engineering, project management and assurance principles to solve complex capability challenges

Our Ideal Candidate:

You’re an experienced engineering or project professional who thrives in complex environments. You bring the confidence to lead teams, manage stakeholders and make sound decisions while balancing technical, operational and delivery requirements.

You will bring:

  • Experience leading engineering projects, complex delivery programs, or technical work packages within Defence, maritime, infrastructure or another high-assurance environment
  • A background in engineering, project management, or a combination of both
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering outcomes against challenging requirements
  • The ability to engage confidently with senior technical, operational and executive stakeholders
  • Strong judgement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in regulated environments
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical information into practical outcomes

Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory):

  • Experience supporting naval, submarine, maritime or other complex Defence capability programs
  • Experience with engineering assurance, systems engineering, safety management or complex asset delivery
  • Nuclear experience or qualifications, including NSQEP credentials
  • Exposure to nuclear capability, nuclear safety, assurance, governance or regulatory environments

As we are a Defence consultancy, you must also have the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance.
