Who are we:
Raptee.HV is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI.
Role Overview:
This fellowship offers an immersive deep dive into the EV product lifecycle. You will contribute to cross-functional workstreams, including vehicle design, CAD, manufacturing, and quality testing, gaining the practical skills necessary to drive innovation.
What You’ll Do:
- Participate in manufacturing trials, process validation, and root cause analysis
- Coordinate with customer facing associates and manage vehicle level issues
- Support component and vehicle-level testing and validation
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage BOM accuracy
- Drive quality improvement using basic Six Sigma/Lean tools
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, change records, and technical reports.
- Present findings, updates, and recommendations to senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support design and CAD modelling (SolidWorks) of vehicle components and sub-systems
- Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis in engineering drawings
- Assist in DFMEA/PFMEA, APQP/PPAP, and DFM/DFA activities
- Support fabrication team with prototype build and testing
Who Can Apply?
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Mechatronics, or related field
- Strong fundamentals in CAD, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
- Passion for automotive/EV technology and hands-on engineering
- Strong problem-solving ability and eagerness to learn
- SAE/Baja/Formula Student or relevant internship experience is a plus
- Willingness to work on the shop floor, in labs, and in cross-functional team settings as required.
- Willingness to relocate and work in a fast-paced startup/manufacturing environment.
