Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and meal plans for nursing home residents.
- Ensure all food is prepared safely and meets quality standards.
- Assist in menu planning and accommodate special diets as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking equipment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents’ nutritional needs.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen operations.
- Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a skilled nursing or healthcare facility.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets typical in nursing home settings.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- HOURS of shift are 10:30am-7pm
