Job Summary

Jon Title: Hanger

 

S.A. Comunale is seeking a Hanger for the Fabrication Shop.

The Hanger is responsible for creating the hangers used to hang pipe in varying projects that the company completes. This job must be done in a timely and accurate manner, while working with small details and intricate designs. This position is represented by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #219.

 

This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast paced multi tasked environment with a focus towards detail and accuracy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

• Pick materials needed to complete each project
• Read and interpret blueprints/sketches to measure and cut rod accordingly
• Assemble pipe hangers efficiently and accurately
• Bag, bundle, and band materials as directed
• Input information into computer
• Interpret information already in computer

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • High school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical or trade school training is a plus.
• Experience working in a fabrication shop or factory setting is a plus.
• Basic computer skills are required.
