Job Description

• Ensuring total cleanliness and hygiene in the store and its premises.
• Ensure to utilize the cleaning items properly and to ensure there is no misuse and wastage.
• Ensure thorough cleaning of floors, stairs, glass planes, ventilation systems, fixtures & fittings, toilets, office furniture, office equipment, display items, car parking shades, water coolers etc.
• Ensure the toilets are clean, tissue boxes, soap dispensers, air fresheners are sufficient and fixtures, flushers, water taps, drains, exhaust fans etc., are functioning properly and if not pass on the relevant information to my Team Leader.
• Ensure that items are packed properly at Checkout Counter, especially the fragile items, and load it safely on trolley and reach to the customer’s vehicle upon their request.
• Ensure that adequate number of trolleys are available at the trolley bays; and trolleys are collected from the parking area and stack it in locations.
• Any security breaches must be notified concerned authority and manager.
• Be aware of all security related emergency response and follow the policy and procedures.
• I adhere to IKEA supply chain and security policy, and report to concern manager in case of any identified security breaches.

Functional / Technical Skills:

• Understanding the department and the importance of cleanliness and hygiene and take action when needed.
• Knowledge of the IKEA product range, including service products.
• Understanding of customer behaviour.
• Knowledge of working methods according to work focus
• Good at creating satisfied customers.
• Enthusiastic and able to work with others in a team.
• Ability to organize your own work and make efficient use of your time.
• Ability to work with a high sense of urgency.
• Desire to learn and want to improve own skills, using this to the benefit of IKEA and for growing personally.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning services, facility services, or housekeeping
• Basic understanding of cleaning methods, hygiene standards, and safe use of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Ability to work in a retail environment while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact politely with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while following operational procedures.
• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail when performing tasks.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, move equipment, and work in different store areas.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays according to store operational needs
