Job Description

The community of Sydney is seeking 6 family physicians to join their primary health care team. These are full scope practices, providing care for patients at all stages of life. 

Responsibilities

• delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
• work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access
• participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities
• utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members

Expected Hours

• full-time

Remuneration

• $375,000 - 400,000 CAD
• Remuneration type is either Longitudinal Family Medicine payment model or a Fee for Service payment model

Incentives 

Eligible physicians may qualify for recruitment incentives, relocation support and site visit reimbursement through Nova Scotia Health and the Province of Nova Scotia.

Qualifications

• All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
