Overview
Β
Assists in performing custodial and various farm duties in an indoor and outdoor setting, as assigned by the supervisor.
Responsibilities
Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Β
- Assists in moving supplies and equipment as needed.
- Notifies supervisor of problems/difficulties in performing job duties.
- Monitors inventory of supplies and notifies team leader when the need for replenishment arises.
- Cleaning out pens/paddocks and facilities.
- Feeding and caring for livestock (goats, sheep, pig, horses, chickens, ducks, etc.) and small animals.
- Moving and refilling feed, hay, and other supplies and materials.
- Helping with the maintenance of farm structures and equipment.
- Assisting with general property maintenance β pruning plants, snow removal, moving compost, etc.
- Tending gardens on property β planting, weeding, harvesting, spreading mulch, watering, etc.
- Notifies team leader if equipment is not working properly.
- Performs additional related duties as requested by supervisor.
- Operation of equipment and machinery, as required.

Qualifications
Β
- High School diploma and NYS Driverβs License required.
- Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to understand instructions given by supervisor.Β
- Flexible; able to accept changes in job duties.Β
Physical aspects may include but are not limited to lifting up to 50lbs.
