BACKGROUND

GENERAL INFORMATION
Position: Field Coordinator – Balwadi Program
Location: Delhi (Any Location)

Reporting To: Program Coordinator / Project Manager

JOB PURPOSE
The Hans Foundation supports 43 Balwadi sessions across 33 locations in Delhi, including centers operating in morning and evening shifts. The Field Coordinator will be responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, monitoring, and quality implementation of all 33 Balwadi centres. The role will focus on strengthening Early Childhood Education, community engagement, operational efficiency, digital learning initiatives, and Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) systems.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Supervision & Quality Assurance
    1. Oversee the smooth functioning of allBalwadi centres and ensure adherence to program objectives.
    2. Monitor implementation of the Balwadi curriculum and ensure quality teaching-learning practices across centres.
    3. Conduct regular field visits and classroom observations.
    4. Ensure child-centric, activity-based learning methodologies are followed.
    5. Maintain quality standards related to learning outcomes, child safety, hygiene, and centre management.
Team Management & Capacity Building
    1. Supervise Senior Tutors, Tutors, and support staff across all centres.
    2. Conduct regular review meetings, training programs, mentoring sessions, and refresher workshops.
    3. Monitor staff attendance, performance, discipline, and professional development.
    4. Provide guidance on lesson planning, classroom management, and child development practices.
Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
    1. Ensure timely collection and verification of attendance, enrolment, learning assessment, and centre performance data.
    2. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare analytical reports.
    3. Ensure timely updating of Balwadi software, MEL formats, and project documentation such as Fees register , stock register, admission form, visitor register etc.
    4. Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management.
Community Mobilization & Stakeholder Engagement
    1. Build strong relationships with parents, community leaders, and local stakeholders.
    2. Conduct parent meetings, awareness sessions, and community engagement activities.
    3. Support enrolment drives and community mobilization initiatives.
    4. Address concerns related to children's education, attendance, and wellbeing.
Operations & Resource Management
    1. Ensure availability and proper utilization of teaching-learning materials, equipment, and supplies across centres.
    2. Coordinate infrastructure, logistics, and operational requirements of all Balwadis.
    3. Ensure centres maintain a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment.
    4. Coordinate with project teams and management for smooth implementation.
Financial & Administrative Monitoring
    1. Monitor fee collection and reconciliation processes across centres as per organizational guidelines.
    2. Ensure timely submission and verification of administrative records and supporting documents.
    3. Support budgeting, procurement, and resource planning activities when required.
Performance Review & Program Development
    1. Conduct monthly performance reviews of Senior Tutors and Tutors.
    2. Identify gaps and recommend corrective actions for program improvement.
    3. Support expansion, strengthening, and sustainability of Balwadi centres.
    4. Provide regular feedback and recommendations to management for improving program effectiveness.
Additional Responsibilities
    1. Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting manager for successful implementation of the Balwadi program.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
    • Graduate in any discipline (Mandatory)
    • B.Ed., NTT, ECCE, Social Work, or equivalent qualification preferred
    • Training in Early Childhood Education will be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in education, preschool management, community development, or NGO sector programs.
    • Experience in managing multiple centres, field teams, or education projects preferred.
    • Prior experience in Balwadi, Anganwadi, Preschool, or ECCE programs will be an advantage.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal abilities.
    • Good understanding of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).
    • Strong planning, reporting, and documentation skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and digital reporting tools.
    • Ability to work with diverse communities and stakeholders.
    • Child-sensitive, empathetic, and solution-oriented approach.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Willingness to travel extensively across all Balwadi centres in Delhi.
