As a Field Mechanic – Dewatering and Bypass Technician (Service Tech III - Field Service), you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of dryers and pumps. Every day, you can improve and challenge yourself, and if you have the desire and ambition, you’ll have the potential to work towards higher level Tech roles in our Service Department. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.

What you'll do:

  • Install and configure dewatering pumps, wellpoints, and bypass piping systems to redirect or remove groundwater and surface water, ensuring safe, dry work conditions for excavation and construction activities.

  • Monitoring, Maintenance & Compliance and Conduct regular performance checks of flow rates, water levels, and equipment operation; perform inspections, filter cleaning, discharge adjustments, and troubleshooting to maintain continuous operation and environmental regulatory compliance.

  • Decommission & Site Restoration and Systematically remove all dewatering and bypass equipment upon project completion, ensuring proper decommissioning, site restoration, and return of equipment in good working condition while maintaining safety and environmental standards throughout.

  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis

  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & partsOther duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

  • 3 years of experience with repairing and maintaining dryers and pumps of various sizes, capacities and manufacturers

  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools

  • Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines

  • Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
