Job Description

The Finance Executive will play a key role within the finance team, overseeing financial operations and driving accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial activities related to PortPos.This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the financial side of a tech company and develop strong financial modeling and analytical skills.

We are looking for young enthusiastic individuals who are passionate. If you have the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly then the below applies to you:

• Recording transactions in accounting software as per accounting standards, and maintaining all relevant supporting documents.

• Overseeing petty cash and related reconciliations.

• Preparing monthly bank reconciliation, cash reconciliation, and any other necessary reconciliations related to PortPos payment flows;

• Receiving bills from the procurement department, calculating TDS and VDS, and posting in bill management software;

• Processing timely payments for various bills from suppliers and payment gateway partners;

• Preparing A challan and depositing it into the government treasury for applicable tax and VAT obligations;

• Preparing Mushak 6.3 and Mushak 6.6 in compliance with VAT regulations;

• Preparing monthly withholding tax returns and monthly VAT returns (Mushak 9.1);

• Supporting RJSC and company secretarial-related work as required;

• Supporting the preparation of financial statements related to PortPOS operations;

• Coordinating and supporting yearly statutory financial audits;

• Supporting the filing of corporate tax returns;

• Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned by the team lead and department head from time to time;

Qualifications

• CA (CC) from a reputed firm/MBA/ Masters with a Major Concentration in Finance/Accounts from any reputed university;

• Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in finance, with preference for experience in fintech, payment gateways, or technology companies;

• Applicants who completed CA (CC) are preferred;

Must have:

• Good working experience with Google Sheets and Docs is preferred; 

• Working experience in Microsoft Excel is a must;

• Must possess good IT skills and be well conversant with Automated Accounting/ Finance Systems;

•   Ability to independently manage and review complex financial reconciliations;

Good to have:

• Experience in Quickbooks will be added as an advantage;

• Knowledge of IFRS, Income Tax Act 2023, Value Added Tax & Supplementary Duty 2012, Company Act 1994.
