What you will do

  1. Payroll Operations
  •  Process and analyze payroll and related compensation in a timely and accurate manner, working with internal and external stakeholders, such as outsourced payroll vendors, covering Asia Pacific (APAC) region
  • Support global equities team in relation to local filing and reporting needs across Asia Pacific
  • Manage and resolve employee inquiries relating to payroll matters
  • Establish procedures and policies for payroll and related compensation, collaborating with HR and Finance teams, across APAC and US head office
  • Ideate and drive improvements by constantly challenging existing models, with the goal to positively transform payroll process and experience for employees
  1. Corporate payments
  • Process payment requests with relevant supporting documents and obtain proper approvals.
  • Handle invoice settlements and expense reimbursements.
  • Assisting relevant purchasing requestors and procurement team across APAC region if needed.
  1. Month end closing & financial analysis
  • Perform month end closing duties including financial analysis, reviewing full general ledger, P&L, Balance sheet according to USGAAP, and/or any local GAAP in the Asia Pacific region; Experience in consolidation is also an added advantage.
  • Assisting any audit requirements (Internal and external).
  1. Financial Projects and Process Improvements
  • Participate in finance transformation projects and application of AI technologies.
  • Define and deliver process improvements across Finance team, focusing on:
    • Process design/redesigning.
    • Controls and risk assessment. 
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Have you done this kind of stuff?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent
  • 5 – 8 years working experience in Payroll operations/Finance/Account, with prior experience in a supervisory or senior capacity within a multinational environment.
  • Prior working experience in payroll-related scope
  • High level of written and spoken English. Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) also preferred
  • Excellent computer and accounting software skills (especially Excel)

 

Not a must but a great advantage:

  • Experience in Business Central ERP
  • Experience in managing Asia Pacific region (or multiple regions)
  • Experience in payroll and/or accounting
  • Applicants with less experience may be considered for an Assistant Manager role.
