Financial Analyst-A&R WAM Europe

We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to join our WAM Europe team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to serve as the go-to person of the in-scope Accounting & Reporting processes (journal entries preparation, reconciliation, reporting and analysis).

Position Responsibilities:

• Preparation and completion of monthly/quarterly reporting to groups throughout Manulife

• Preparation and analysis of intercompany reconciliations

• Monitoring of intercompany receipts and payments

• Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries for various transactions such as expenses, revenues, accruals, and prepayments

• Monthly reconciliation of Accounting Units, Cost Center and GL bookings) 

Required Qualifications:

• Education:  Bachelor's Degree holders (Accounting, Finance, Business-courses) are welcome to apply

• Experience: At least one to two years of relevant experience in accounting, finance reporting and/or audit

• Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation)

• Minimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves:

  • Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Excel

  • Strong technical accounting skills (including journal entries) with a solid understanding of the business environment and financial reporting structure to provide value-added analysis
