Financial Controller

What you'll be doing:

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day finance operations of Iomart’s Cloud Services business unit.  This is a pivotal role within the Group, forming part of the senior management team and directly influencing strategic and operational decision-making.

You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts, forecasting and budgeting, driving performance insights, and ensuring robust financial controls across the business unit covering c£100m of Group revenue.

In addition, you will:

• Prepare monthly Executive Packs for business unit management and Group reporting.
• Own divisional P&L, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group reporting standards.
• Oversee monthly close processes, financial controls, and ensuring segregation of duties.
• Prepare budgets and rolling forecasts, monitor performance, and report variances with actionable insights.
• Identify cost efficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Manage data centre CAPEX budget and spend, collaborating with stakeholders to develop business cases.
• Be involved in the transformation to a new finance system
• Support half-year and year-end audit processes.
• Mentor and develop staff within the finance function

We want to hear from you if you:

• Are a qualified accountant with at least 5 years’ post qualification experience
• Have a proven track record in translating complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial teams and senior leadership
• Can demonstrate experience in a recurring revenue business model
• Have a strong track record in cost control, efficiency improvements, and driving continuous process enhancements
• Have solid systems knowledge, with exposure to upgrades and process improvement projects (Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central advantageous)
• Are confident working with large and complex data sets
