Fisherman's Market is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Store Manager to lead our Bedford Highway retail location, one of the most recognized fish markets in Atlantic Canada. As one of Atlantic Canada's most trusted seafood retailers, we've proudly served our community for generations by providing exceptional seafood, outstanding customer service, and a welcoming shopping experience.

What You'll Be Doing

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the Bedford Highway location by:

• Leading daily store operations with a focus on customer service, quality, and efficiency
• Hiring, training, coaching, and developing a high-performing retail team
• Creating a positive, engaged workplace culture built on accountability, teamwork, and respect
• Delivering an exceptional customer experience that reflects the Fisherman's Market brand
• Managing inventory, ordering, merchandising, product rotation, and loss prevention
• Ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance standards are consistently maintained
• Monitoring sales performance and implementing strategies to achieve business objectives
• Managing labour scheduling, staffing levels, and payroll efficiencies
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and community partners
• Collaborating with company leadership to support operational improvements and business growth

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Seafood industry experience and/or strong seafood product knowledge is required.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational requirements
• Previous retail, grocery, specialty food, or hospitality management experience
• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A hands-on leadership style with a willingness to work alongside the team
• Experience with inventory management, merchandising, and sales performance
• A passion for quality food products and delivering exceptional customer experiences
