Dynamic Logistics Services (DLS) is seeking a motivated and driven Freight Broker to join our growing brokerage team in Granite City, IL and Hazelwood, MO.

In this role, you will be responsible for bidding on freight, sourcing capacity, negotiating freight rates, and building long-term relationships with both customers and carrier partners. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, enjoys building relationships, and has a strong drive to solve problems and close deals.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and develop relationships with carrier partners across the country
• Negotiate competitive freight rates while maximizing profitability
• Cover customer freight by securing reliable carrier capacity
• Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
• Communicate regularly with carriers, drivers, and internal teams
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments as needed
• Provide shipment updates and resolve service issues quickly
• Maintain accurate load and carrier information in company systems
• Manage and grow a portfolio of carrier partners
• Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year of experience in freight brokerage/3PL space.
• Experience bidding on freight
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS)
• Established carrier network relationships
• Experience with truckload freight, both dry and refrigerated.
