In this role, you'll serve as an important link between patients, providers, and insurance companies—helping ensure patients receive the care they need without unnecessary delays.
What You'll Do
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing patient referrals
- Schedule appointments and pre-register patients
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments, preparation instructions, and financial responsibility
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Work closely with physicians, therapists, insurance carriers, and clinical staff to coordinate care
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
What We're Looking For
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of healthcare office experience
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations
- Knowledge of CPT coding, medical terminology, and Medicare reimbursement guidelines
