Group Financial Controller

About the Role

RPMGlobal is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead the global management accounting and reporting function across the RPM Group. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and commercially insightful financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting to support decision-making across our global business.

This is a broad, hands-on role suited to a senior finance professional who can operate comfortably across group reporting, management accounting, systems improvement, internal controls, software division finance, acquisitions and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced global environment.

This is a permanent, full-time role based out of our Brisbane CBD headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, consolidated reporting, variance analysis, KPI reporting, cashflow reporting and Board finance reports.
• Manage the annual budget process and periodic reforecasts across offices, regions, departments and entities.
• Provide commercial analysis and reporting to support profitability, working capital management and executive decision-making.
• Oversee accounting for the Software Division, including project accounting, invoicing, revenue recognition, WIP, maintenance, training, commissions and bonus calculations.
• Support acquisition accounting and integration activities, including establishing finance processes, controls, reporting and training for acquired businesses.
• Maintain strong internal controls, documented finance procedures and consistent expenditure policies across the Group.
• Drive improvements across finance systems and processes, including SAP, Salesforce, RPM360 and other mandated business systems.
• Mentor and manage direct reports, supporting a high-performing finance team and strong cross-regional collaboration.

About You

• CPA or CA qualified, with extensive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong background in management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience working with geographically diverse teams and supporting a global business environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, ideally including SAP ECC6, SAP Business Objects, Salesforce or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to manage, mentor and develop finance team members.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical ability and a track record of meeting deadlines in a complex environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and operational leaders.
• Strong command of the English language in both verbal and written form.
• Based in Brisbane and eligible to work in Australia.
