The RoleÂ
As Head of Payroll & Benefits, you will own the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of payroll and benefits operations across a growing, multi-state organization. You’ll ensure accuracy, compliance, and scalability while partnering closely with HR and Finance to support both our people and our long-term growth.Â

What You’ll LeadÂ
- Direct end-to-end payroll operations with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory complianceÂ
- Oversee multi-state payroll processing and state tax reporting requirementsÂ
- Maintain payroll systems, schedules, and data integrityÂ
- Lead, mentor, and develop payroll team membersÂ
- Partner with HR and Finance leadership on payroll and benefits strategyÂ
- Manage employee benefits administration, including self-funded plansÂ
- Coordinate with payroll vendors, benefits partners, and internal/external auditorsÂ
- Produce and analyze payroll and benefits reports for executive leadershipÂ
- Oversee complex payroll components such as commissions, bonuses, and incentive payÂ

- Extensive experience managing multi-state payroll operationsÂ
- Background supporting organizations with 500+ employeesÂ
- Demonstrated leadership of payroll teams and processesÂ
- Strong working knowledge of payroll compliance and state tax regulationsÂ
- Experience administering employee benefits programsÂ
- Proven ability to manage commissions and bonus structuresÂ
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skillsÂ
