We are looking for a dependable, experienced Heavy Equipment Service / Fluid Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for performing routine fluid services and preventative maintenance on our fleet of heavy construction equipment

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Perform routine oil and filter changes on heavy equipment.
- Change engine oil, hydraulic oil, transmission fluid, differential/gear oil and other fluids as required.
- Replace fuel, oil, hydraulic and air filters.
- Grease and lubricate equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections.
- Check fluid levels, hoses, belts, fittings and other components for wear or potential problems.
- Identify leaks, mechanical issues and maintenance concerns and report them to management or the equipment mechanic.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Keep the service area, tools and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety procedures and proper environmental practices when handling fluids and filters.
- Travel to jobsites or equipment yards as needed to service equipment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous heavy equipment service or maintenance experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment and preventative maintenance.
- Experience servicing excavators, loaders, skid steers, backhoes and similar equipment.
- Ability to properly identify fluids, filters, grease points and routine service requirements.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and service equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, service technician or maintenance technician.
- Knowledge of diesel-powered equipment.
- Experience reading equipment service manuals and maintenance schedules.
- CDL or other applicable certifications are a plus.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant heavy-equipment service experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. This includes frequently standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching and climbing on and off heavy equipment; working in awkward or restricted positions; and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Must be able to safely use tools and service equipment, work on uneven terrain, and work indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions around noise, dust, fluids, exhaust and moving equipment while wearing required PPE.
