Be part of our people & culture team and help create a positive experience for candidates and employees — from their first connection with us through to every stage that follows.

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented administrator who enjoys working with people, systems, data, and process improvement. You will play a key role in managing our HR Information System (BambooHR) and delivering high-quality HR administration across the employee lifecycle. If you are passionate about improving processes, maintaining accurate information, and providing exceptional support, we would love to hear from you.

Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity

As the super user for BambooHR you will ensure employee data is accurate, secure, and up to date. Working closely with payroll and the wider people & culture team, the role provides support across recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Employees will look to you as one of the first points of contacts for guidance on HR policies, procedures and system-related queries. Providing timely, practical support will help create a positive employee experience and ensure people receive the information they need.

As part of our HR digital strategy, you will help us explore smart and responsible ways to use technology, including AI, to streamline administration and improve access to information. Our focus is not on taking away from the human experience, but on freeing up time so the team can continue adding value through meaningful, people-centred support.

He kōrero mōu: About you

  • 5+ years’ administration experience in a corporate environment.
  • A genuine interest in people, with a desire to contribute positively to the candidate and employee experience.
  • Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A helpful, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to respond to queries in a timely, practical, and people-centred way.
  • Confidence using digital tools and systems, with curiosity about how technology, including AI, can responsibly improve HR processes and free up time for more meaningful support.
  • An interest in systems, data quality, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • A high level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • A willingness to learn HR processes and employment-related requirements, with the judgement to ask questions and escalate when needed.
  • An openness to learning and working in ways that reflect te ao Māori and support our commitment to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer

  • A collaborative and supportive People & Culture team where your ideas for improvement are valued.
  • Learning and development opportunities to support your growth.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • Medical insurance, EAP services, free flu vaccinations, and additional gifted leave.
  • The opportunity to work for an organisation committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
