We are amidst a substantial expansion spanning Canada, the US, and beyond into the global market. To fortify this growth, we are in search of a proficient HR Business Partner - US Operations.Ā This role will be responsible for various HR activities to support people and culture development at Activate Games across Store Operations across the US. The incumbent in this role will have key responsibilities in employee relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, policy implementation, training and development, and special projects as required.Ā Ā

Essential Job Functions
Performance and Employee Development
- ProvideĀ advice and guidance to StoreĀ OperationsĀ LeadersĀ for all areas of HR including employee relations, employee development, policy compliance, recruitment, and trainingĀ
- Act as a cultural champion to promote an agile performance driven environment where all team members are encouraged to pursue and realize their full potentialĀ
- Lead and resolve workplace investigations as required while adhering to company standards and complying with applicable laws and regulationsĀ
- Work closely with employees and management to coordinateĀ theĀ workplaceĀ claims processĀ Ā
- Support Health & Safety initiatives, recommend and implement disability management practices,Ā accessibilityĀ and the accommodationĀ processesĀ
- Coach and developĀ theĀ Operations teamĀ onĀ performance expectations, action plans for development, career growth, and learning opportunitiesĀ
Policy AdministrationĀ
- Ensure policy complianceĀ withinĀ USĀ regionsĀ ActivateĀ operates,Ā by reviewing and adapting policies, and delivering policyĀ coaching and/orĀ trainingĀ Ā
- AssistĀ in developmentĀ and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiativesĀ
- Update current policies and procedures on a regular basis based on given informationĀ
- Aid in creating and implementing a long-term Human Resource vision, strategy, and tactics in alignment with organizational objectivesĀ
- Utilize dataĀ toĀ identifyĀ trends and diagnose organizationalĀ effectiveness issuesĀ
Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring leads to support andĀ facilitateĀ talent sourcing and acquisition including creating job descriptions, postingĀ available positions, interviewing, and onboardingĀ
- Provide guidance andĀ support to collaborators to enable successful hiringĀ and selectionĀ of staff for ActivateĀ storeĀ locationsĀ
- Track efficiencies of the hiring process; measure success of candidate hiring processĀ
- Use HRIS system to effectively manage the hiring process and candidate poolĀ
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or related fieldĀ
- 5+ years of related HR work experienceĀ
- ExcellentĀ verbal and written communication skillsĀ
- In depth experience with multiple states employment requirements including California employmentĀ
- Proven ability to conduct thorough workplace investigationsĀ
- DemonstratedĀ expertiseĀ in developing and managing relationshipsĀ
- Quick learner, creative,Ā self-motivatedĀ and detail-orientedĀ
- Strong ability to multi-task and manage conflicting prioritiesĀ
- ExperienceĀ adapting toĀ new technologies, with hands-on experience across HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and SharePointĀ
- Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and manage conflicting prioritiesĀ
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the timeĀ
