Position Summary: 

This role is responsible for being the welcoming face of our Cultivate Initiatives Workforce Hub. The Hub Host works at the front desk and responds to inquiries, provides program information, maintains the lobby space, answers the phone, and any other tasks required to support neighbors and our office. 


Compensation and Benefits: 

  • Full-time, non-exempt position with a starting hourly wage of $20 - 22 depending on experience
  • 100% employer-paid medical, vision, and dental premiums for full-time employees
  • Eleven paid holidays, vacation, and sick time
  • 401k with a 3% employer match


Accountability: 

This position is accountable to the Health & Hygiene Program Manager and Workforce Director.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greets, directs and manages the flow of visitors to the Cultivate Initiatives main office, “The Hub.” 
  • Provides resources to neighbors including information about Cultivate Initiatives programs including the Intern Program and the Health & Hygiene program
  • Keeps commonly used forms/flyers stocked 
  • Responds to inquiries in a timely manner, communicates accurate information to neighbors and community neighbors, and forwards messages to other staff members as needed 
  • In charge of answering the phone with excellent customer service 
  • Keeps waiting area organized, clean and free of debris
  • Maintains and updates the community resource one-pagers  
  • Maintains and restocks the coffee station
  • Works with various teams as needed on special projects 
  • Represents Cultivate Initiatives to various stakeholders, volunteers, and community partners that may come into the organization
  • May perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Ability to speak and write in English (Other languages are a bonus)
  • Comfortability with using the computer and telephone 
  • Must have basic computer skills including checking emails, using instant messenger, editing and printing documents, and navigating the internet
  • Ability to de-escalate tense situations 
  • Be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively as needed 


Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Being physically present in the CI offices from 8:30a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, present for the 8:30am brief and 4:30pm debrief, and present at the front desk from 9am-3:30pm, unless otherwise approved by supervisor
  • Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Must be able to provide proof of Driver’s License or be actively working towards licensing
