Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the setup, management, and optimization of Pointo Hub’s. This role includes managing end-to-end operations, ensuring efficient store setup, optimizing supply chain processes, and driving profitability through effective P&L management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations within the retail or e-commerce sector, with specific experience in dark store management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • POINTO HUB Setup and Management:
    • Lead the planning, setup, and operational launch of new POINTO HUB in strategic locations.
    • Ensure that all hubs are fully equipped, staffed, and operationally efficient before launch.
    • Oversee the design and layout of Hub to optimize product flow, picking, and packing processes.
  • Profit and Loss (P&L) Management:
    • Take full ownership of the P&L for hub, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.
    • Analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to increase profitability.
    • Work closely with the finance team to track and report on operational expenses, revenue, and key financial metrics.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Optimization:
    • Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to meet demand while minimizing waste and overstock.
    • Collaborate with suppliers, procurement teams, and logistics providers to streamline the supply chain and improve delivery timelines.
    • Implement robust inventory management systems to monitor stock levels and ensure product availability.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Continuously review and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, speed, and accuracy in order fulfilment.
    • Leverage technology and automation tools to optimize picking, packing, and delivery processes.
    • Establish and monitor KPIs for operational performance, including order fulfilment times, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Build and manage a high-performing team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hubs
    • Provide ongoing training, support, and development opportunities to team members to enhance performance.
    • Ensure that staffing levels are adequate to meet operational needs, particularly during peak demand periods.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure all hub operations comply with local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
    • Implement safety protocols to protect staff and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
    • Collaborate with the technology team to integrate and enhance systems that support hub operations.
Key Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP) is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 2-4 years of experience in operations management, with at least 1-3 years focused on dark store setup and management.
    • Proven experience in managing P&L responsibilities and driving operational profitability.
    • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or logistics with a deep understanding of fulfilment operations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics optimization.
    • Proficiency in using operations and warehouse management software (WMS) and other relevant tools.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
