Compensation range: $22.48 - $25.69 per hour

Position Summary
Location: San Jose, CA (covering the Bay Area, including San Francisco, CA)
Hours: 5:30 am - 2:00 pm, Monday - Friday
The Installer is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely installation of systems (modular) and freestanding furniture. Working as part of an installation team, this role ensures furniture is assembled and installed according to manufacturer specifications, design plans, and customer expectations.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where quality, safety, and teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Furniture Installation: Assemble and install modular and freestanding furniture in accordance with manufacturer specifications, design plans, and project requirements.
- Loading & Logistics: Assist with the safe loading, unloading, staging, movement, and occasional transportation of furniture and materials.
- Project Preparation: Review blueprints and project plans to identify required products, components, tools, and materials needed for successful installation.
- Quality & Finishing: Inspect completed installations for accuracy and quality. Make necessary adjustments, including leveling, alignment, cleaning, and final detailing, to ensure a professional finished product.
- Team Collaboration: Follow direction from the Lead Installer and Supervisor and work collaboratively with the installation team throughout loading, transportation, staging, stripping, assembly, and furniture movement.
- Customer Experience: Maintain a professional presence on customer sites and ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the customer's satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Mechanical ability with knowledge of hand/power tools listed under Required Tools
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Must have reliable transportation to work at job sites throughout the Bay Area

- Collaborate in diverse teams to foster productive outcomes
- Knowledge of Google Suite Programs

18V Cordless drill, charger & 2 batteries, apex/magnetic bit holder, bits (P2, P3, R2, R3) & nut drivers, drill bits for wood & metal, socket adapters, ratchet set, wonder bar, torpedo level, dead blow (non-marking), (3) standard & (3) Philip screwdrivers, pliers, channel locks, needle nose, tape measure, open wrench set, 3 light electrical tester, utility knife, allen wrench set (standard & metric), vise grips & tool bag.
Physical Requirements
Seeing, color and depth perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, touching, ability to move distances within and between warehouses/offices, ability to mount and dismount forklift/truck, pushing/pulling, driving, lifting to 100 pounds, and carrying up to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb up into and down from delivery trucks, and walk up and down ramps where required.
Work Environment
Works around dust and dirt, may be required to work different shifts and work hours; may work alone or with a team; in moderate heat or cold, around electrical equipment, fumes/odors, and/or dirt/dust. Generally works around loud noises such as trucks, forklifts, and power hand tools.
