About this role

Engineering is broken. Help rebuild it.

Too many engineers are stuck executing instead of thinking.

At IN2, you’ll be expected to challenge, contribute and influence, not just deliver.

The Role

You’ll support the design and delivery of electrical building services projects across Germany and internationally. Working closely with project managers and multidisciplinary design teams, you’ll take ownership of specific project tasks while helping shape the systems, standards and structures behind future work.

The role covers both new-build and refurbishment projects, from early-stage design through to construction and site supervision.

What You’ll Do

  • Design electrical systems across cost groups 440, 450 and/or 480
  • Support projects through the relevant HOAI service phases
  • Take ownership of specific project design tasks and deliverables
  • Work directly with project managers and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Produce technical calculations, drawings, specifications and reports
  • Ensure designs comply with DIN/VDE standards and industry best practice
  • Support the development of internal design standards and future workflows
  • Assist with site supervision, inspections and project coordination
  • Contribute to both national and international projects
  • Travel to project sites across Germany when required

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience in Germany or the wider DACH region
  • Electrical or MEP design experience within the construction industry
  • Project experience in one or more sectors such as data centres, pharmaceutical, life sciences, commercial offices, infrastructure, residential or healthcare
  • Experience across at least one of the following cost groups: 440, 450 or 480
  • Familiarity with HOAI phases and the technical requirements at each stage
  • Strong knowledge of DIN/VDE standards and recognised engineering practice
  • German language skills at B2.2 level or above
  • English language skills at B2 level or above
  • Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in BMS, fire alarm systems, IT, or high and medium-voltage systems will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit and software such as Simaris, ETAP or HagerCAD would also be beneficial.

What You’ll Get

This isn’t built around perks. It’s built around how high-performing engineers actually want to work. Real ownership, meaningful progression and a culture that trusts you to deliver.

The Essentials

  • Competitive salary with performance bonus and pension
  • 25-30 days annual leave (increasing with service)
  • Flexible working across a 40 hour week (core hours 10am-4pm)
  • Public Transport (Deutschland Ticket)
  • Health and wellbeing package

Career Progression

  • A clear pathway forward, with responsibility increasing as you prove your ability
  • Progression based on your contribution, not simply time served
  • Direct exposure to senior leaders without unnecessary layers of hierarchy
  • IN2 Academy, CPD support and chartership guidance
  • Fully paid professional fees
  • Opportunities to contribute to the development of IN2’s growing Berlin operation

Health and Wellbeing

  • Employee Assistance Programme and annual health checks
