Stout is looking for summer interns who are excited to join our Strategy group (Stout Strategy) in delivering value to our clients while learning and developing new skills. As a Consulting Intern in Stout Strategy’s Professional Services or Industrials practices, you will spend 10 weeks gaining real world consulting experience working alongside professionals with deep expertise across various industries.

What You’ll Do

As a Consulting Intern in our Professional Services or Industrials practices, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing the data that will enable the strong delivery of work to our exclusive list of Fortune 500 clients. More specifically, you will:

• Support in hypothesis generation to inform research and analytical approaches for client engagements

• Compile comprehensive secondary research and differentiated insights to support engagement workstreams

• Conduct original primary research by participating in executive-level interviews to inform strategic decisions

• Design and develop statistical Excel-based analyses and models (e.g., market models, P&L forecasts, basic regressions, etc.)

• Synthesize insights and recommendations for client deliverables (with an emphasis on visualizations)

• Leverage data, digital platforms, and AI-enabled tools to conduct analysis, generate insights, and support problem-solving and decision-making

• Positively contribute to the dynamic, high-achieving atmosphere of the firm

• Participate in company-sponsored networking events

• Enrollment in a full-time academic program (BS or BA in progress), with an expected graduation date of May 2028 and a clear track record of academic excellence (minimum 3.5 GPA)

• Aptitude for on-the-job learning and networking

• Well-honed business acumen and analytical skills

• Desire to learn and demonstrated ability to master new subject areas quickly

• Strong communication, writing, and critical thinking skills

• Time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Working proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel

• Self-starter mentality, with the drive to take ownership, tackle challenges head-on, and find a way forward when obstacles arise

• Comfort and proficiency using generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to enhance research and analysis

• Foreign language capabilities are a plus

Stout is required by applicable state and local laws to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable compensation estimate for this 10-week internship is $17,700.
