The Interventional Technologist is responsible for all aspects of care related to adult inpatients or outpatients undergoingprocedures in the Interventional Neurology Lab. Applies knowledge of growth and development to perform detailedassignments and interventions. Provides consistent care based on the changing physical and psychosocial needs, uniqueto the patient. ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES1. Effective verbal and written communication skills2. Sterile technique, scrub and assist physician during cases3. Administration and knowledge of medications given to the patient under the supervision of the physician4. Operate physiologic monitoring equipment5. Operate all equipment related to IN procedures (Penumbra, IVUS, ISTAT, MedRad injector, manualthrombectomy, pressure monitoring, venous Doppler, etc.)6. Management of blood samples and calculations7. Use of general patient care equipment and communication equipment8. Successfully complete all annual competencies9. Use of unit-specific equipment (computers, copiers, etc.)10. Daily QA and trouble-shooting skills for radiographic equipment11. Knowledge, advocate, and employ techniques for radiation safety12. Knowledge of PACS data storage system13. Good telephone and communication skills14. Ability to adapt to changes in health care technology15. Other duties assigned by management
Job Requirements
Required
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology, upon hire and
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, within 12 - months or
- AHA Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
