Position Summary

The Inventory & Purchasing Processor coordinates and performs functions related to the acquisition, tracking, storage and handling of tools, equipment and materials for the Enterprise Physical Operations - Danforth department, including the processing of service contracts and the monitoring of financial accounts within the department.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Performs all duties associated with the procurement of parts and materials, including tracking, storage, delivery, pickup and physical receiving.
  • Creates and approves transactions in the financial system including purchase orders, change orders, blanket orders, check requests, budget adjustments, ID’s and journals.
  • Communicates and coordinates with customers, project stakeholders and departments and relays/resolves issues as they arise.
  • Monitors the account balances for funds and communicates account balances with managers as needed.
  • Serves as department liaison regarding procurement processes and policies.
  • Conducts inventory spot checks and tool inventories.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Salary Range

$19.29 - $29.91 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
