Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Technician (Contract) to support our engineering change implementations. In this critical role, you will ensure inventory readiness before product changes are released to the production floor. You will be responsible for performing cycle counts, managing new revision materials, and maintaining the Engineering Change Cage to prevent material mixing and guarantee that production always receives the correct revisions.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform Cycle Counts: Execute accurate cycle counts for parts affected by Production Change Orders (PCOs) and verify physical inventory against ERP records.

  • Manage Material Transitions: Monitor inventory consumption prior to engineering change implementations to ensure smooth transitions.

  • Maintain the Change Cage: Receive, identify, and securely store new revision materials in the Engineering Change Cage.

  • Ensure Quality Control: Strictly segregate old and new revision materials to prevent production mix-ups and verify that production areas are entirely free of obsolete materials.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Gather and share critical information with the Warehouse, Material Planning, Purchasing, and Production teams during engineering changes.

  • Mitigate Risks: Proactively report inventory discrepancies and potential implementation risks to the Change Management Specialist.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced: You bring 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or inventory control.

  • Tech-Savvy: You possess foundational computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency. Experience with ERP systems and barcode scanners is a strong plus.

  • Detail-Oriented: You have a proven ability to accurately count and organize inventory while strictly following standardized work instructions.

  • Adaptable: You are highly comfortable working dynamically across both warehouse and production environments.

  • Collaborative: You have excellent communication skills, a strong sense of teamwork, and the ability to work effectively with various departments.
