About This Role

The Inventory Manager  leads the Inventory Reconciliation process between Demand and Supply Planning as part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).  You will drive  total  company inventory health (accuracy, timeliness, Netsuite single source of truth) working closely with Finance, Logistics, Demand and Supply Planning and ensure inventory accuracy, and smooth flow of goods. This role is highly analytical supporting weekly reporting and monthly S&OP reviews. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with spreadsheet-based systems, and able to translate raw data into clear, actionable reporting.

What You'll Do

  • Own the company's inventory position and provide clear visibility into inventory levels, value, location, availability and overall health across products and channels
  • Analyze inventory productivity using metrics including weeks of supply, sell-through, aging, and Gross Margin Return on Investment (GMROI) to identify risks, opportunities and areas requiring action
  • Identify excess, slow-moving and at-risk inventory and develop fact-based recommendations to improve inventory productivity and reduce exposure
  • Own inventory reconciliation between demand and supply planning as part of the Supply & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, highlighting gaps, risks and tradeoffs against the business plan
  • Establish inventory targets and ideal coverage by SKU based on demand, supply constraints, lead times and business objectives
  • Partner with Merchandising, Revenue and Finance to translate inventory insights into commercial and financial decisions, including markdowns, buys and inventory investment
  • Drive accountability around inventory actions, establishing clear owners and tracking progress from recommendation through outcome
  • Partner with Finance on inventory valuation, aging, write-off risk and period-end reconciliation across production, in-transit and warehouse inventory
  • Build and improve inventory reporting, tools and processes across NetSuite, Excel/Google Sheets and emerging planning technologies
  • Communicate inventory performance, risks and recommendations clearly to the CSCO and senior cross-functional leaders

Who You Are

  • 3–5+ years of experience in inventory planning, merchandise planning, supply planning or inventory management within a consumer, retail or ecommerce business
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning concepts and metrics including Weeks of Supply (WOS), sell-through, aging, GMROI, inventory turns and S&OP
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets independently (ex. pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and advanced formulas)
  • Able to move beyond reporting what happened to develop a clear point of view on what the business should do next
  • Commercially minded and able to balance inventory availability, working capital, customer demand and financial risk
  • Confident communicating complex analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders and comfortable constructively challenging assumptions
  • Highly accountable and comfortable driving cross-functional action without direct authority
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where processes, systems and tools are continuing to evolve
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems strongly preferred
