Job Description

The IT Operations (IT Ops) role operates within an Agile and DevOps environment, acting as a key stakeholder in ensuring production excellence throughout the entire project lifecycle.

This role is responsible for:

  • Guaranteeing production readiness from design to deployment and beyond
  • Ensing the stability, performance, and reliability of both Production and non-Production environments
  • Integrating production, infrastructure, and security requirements into technical solutions

As a core member of project teams, the IT Ops collaborates in decision-making processes (e.g., complexity assessment, risk analysis) and promotes best practices in application production in partnership with Application Production Support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Solution & Production Readiness

  • Contribute to the definition of technical solutions with a production-first mindset
  • Promote the use of existing platforms and services, ensuring resilience, monitoring, and security by design
  • Anticipate potential risks related to architecture, compliance, scalability, and delivery timelines
  • Advise on appropriate technology choices aligned with business and application needs

2. Integration of Production & Infrastructure Requirements

  • Ensure infrastructure and operational needs are reflected in the Product Backlog
  • Define and implement technical user stories (e.g., automation, industrialization, obsolescence management)
  • Support development teams to accelerate and secure deliveries
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement required solutions

3. Environment Management (Production & Non-Production)

  • Ensure availability and reliability of environments
  • Facilitate deployment of solutions
  • Validate environment usability (performance, backup/restore, data access, etc.)
  • Perform or validate security reviews
  • Ensure traceability of system access and compliance with standards
  • Identify operational risks (network, security, flows) and propose mitigation plans

4. Deployment & Monitoring

  • Enable efficient deployment processes and provide production expertise
  • Implement monitoring and observability solutions in collaboration with support teams
  • Ensure proper service supervision and alerting mechanisms

5. Operational Excellence & Maintenance

  • Contribute to defining service levels (SLAs) and performance indicators
  • Ensure up-to-date operational and installation documentation
  • Guarantee availability and testing of disaster recovery and backup plans
  • Support incident resolution and production releases

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Drive automation, performance optimization, and reliability improvements
  • Identify and promote best practices across teams and organization
  • Collaborate with Application Production Support to enhance overall service quality

7. Knowledge Sharing & Team Enablement

  • Promote awareness of production best practices within Agile teams
  • Train and support team members on DevOps tools and processes
  • Foster autonomy and adoption of provided tools and frameworks

Tools & Methodologies

  • DevOps & Agile methodologies
  • Monitoring & Observability: ElasticSearch, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace
  • DevOps Toolchain: GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Mattermost, Ansible
  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT Operations or similar roles
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and production operations
  • Understanding of IT risk and cybersecurity
  • Coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to summarize and communicate clearly
  • Proactive, rigorous, and committed attitude

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Strong customer focus and quality orientation
  • Ability to manage stress and conflict effectively
  • Good communication, listening, and questioning skills
  • Strong planning and prioritization abilities
