IT Support Analyst

Job Title: Baan Admin Support Consultant – Baan IV, ERP LN FP3 and LN 10.4 ERP versions.  

Experience: 8+ years supporting ERP Administration activities in Baan IV, ERP LN FP3 and LN 10.4 ERP versions.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Baan ERP Admin Support Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should be able to manage and maintain various Baan IV, ERP LN FP3 and LN 10.4 ERP instances, ensuring their stability, performance, and system security, including tasks like installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting. Candidate should also handle User Access Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Management: 

• Install, configure, and maintain Baan IV, ERP LN FP3 and LN 10.4 ERP applications.
• Monitor system health, performance, and resource utilization.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patching, upgrades, and cloning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, ensuring minimal downtime.  
• Manage user access and security controls.

Database Administration:

• Work with DBA team to manage Oracle and/or SQL Servers database connectivity supporting Baan ERP applications.
• Perform database backup planning and disaster recovery planning.
• Optimize database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks. 
• Work with development and DBAs teams to optimize queries, indexes, and overall system performance.

Application Support: 

• Provide support for Baan ERP applications, addressing user issues and service requests. 
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy solutions to Test and Production environments.  

Other Tasks:

• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Adhere to security policies and procedures.
• Support Internal and External Audits with requested data collection and take corrective actions in case of audit findings.
• Work closely with other IT teams, such as DBAs, Windows Admins, Unix admins and middleware teams.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support for Baan ERP applications, resolving platform related issues and incidents, and ensuring smooth system operation.

Mentoring:

• Mentor junior consultants, providing guidance and support. Contribute to the development of best practices and processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 8+ years of experience working with Baan Admin Support.

• Strong knowledge of Baan ERP architecture and technologies (Baan IV, Baan Va/Vb, ERP LN FP3 and LN 10.4 ERP).
• Experience with Oracle database administration (SQL, PL/SQL).
• Experience with Baan Dynamic Enterprise Modeler is a plus. 
• Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Linux, Unix). Knowledge of shell scripting is a plus.
• Knowledge of identity management, networking and security concepts.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with application teams and business users.

Preferred Skill Sets:

• Experienced with SDLC/Agile methodologies and project management tools.
