MET Croatia is looking for Junior Accountant / Controller within our Finance team in Zagreb.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile bank transactions and bank statements.
• Processing incoming invoices
• Performing billing of customer portfolio
• Process and record payments through online banking systems.
• Perform basic accounting entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Reconcile customer and supplier balances.
• Communicate with customers regarding outstanding receivables, statements of account, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts receivable and support credit analysis activities.
• Create and maintain customer master data.
• Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures and credit checks for new and existing customers.
• Maintain records of promissory notes and OPEX-related contracts.
• Maintain, verify, and archive accounting documentation.
• Manage documentation related to business travel expenses.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting period close procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Master’s degree from one of the business faculties (EFZG, EFOS, VERN, RRIF, ZŠEM, Algebra etc.)

• Computer skills, advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent knowledge of English
• Will, motivation and desire to gain new knowledge
• Thoroughness and precision in work, dedication, reliability, team spirit and positive attitude

Fresh graduates are also welcome, work experience is not required

Nice to have:

• Experience working with ERPs, especially if it is Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC).
• Problem solving mindset
