Sports Direct Malaysia currently operates a total of 41 retail stores domestically and manages a proprietary SportsDirect.com e-commerce site for domestic and regional fulfillment. Job Description
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Assist in analysing data and preparing reports to support business decision-making.
- Learn and utilize SQL for basic data extraction and manipulation tasks.
- Support in processing and cleaning data using analytical tools under supervision.
Data Visualization
- Gain exposure to Power BI and assist in the development of basic visualizations and dashboards.
- Collaborate with team members to understand reporting requirements and contribute to creating user-friendly visualizations.
Stakeholder Support
- Assist stakeholders in generating basic reports and providing support as needed.
- Participate in training sessions to learn how to interpret and utilize data effectively.
Data Exploration
- Participate in basic data mining activities to identify trends and patterns in datasets.
- Contribute ideas for process optimization based on data analysis findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science).
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in a relevant field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Excellent communicator in both written and spoken English.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, PowerBI, Excel and an interest in learning new analytical tools and technologies.
