Job Description

PC Requirements team is focused on testing PC specific features, installation flow and measuring performance of all Ubisoft titles.
You will have access to top-end hardware and a possibility to work closely with production teams and hardware vendors such as AMD, Nvidia and Intel.
This role also involves work with hardware components, PC assembly and various tools as well as a lot of communication with the development teams and other stakeholders in different parts of the world.
Working in PCR will give you the possibility to learn, gain experience on multiple projects and allow to contribute in creation of minimum and recommended requirements for Ubisoft games.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Perform PC compliance tests on multiple clients (Ubisoft Connect, Steam) using various OS versions and localizations;
  • Execute compatibility and performance tests using dedicated tools on various hardware and analyze obtained results;
  • Build, modify and troubleshoot PC workstations to suit project and team needs;
  • Support production team in implementation of the PC-specific features of the game (graphic options, peripherals, exotic HW support) by performing required tests and providing visibility on the status/level of feature implementation;
  • Investigate, reproduce, report and track PCR issues on the projects, find workarounds for production teams;
  • Manage one or more projects following established team actions and processes (planning and coordinating tests, raising project risks, ensuring proper test coverage);
  • Work closely with your team and different project stakeholders (production, QC etc.) providing them with relevant feedback on the project status and quality, providing visibility and obtaining required information;
  • Create various documentation and reports based on the project needs;
  • Seek new ways to improve own skills, as well as tools and procedures used in testing.

Requirements:

  • Upper intermediate level of English or higher (spoken and written);
  • Good knowledge of testing principles and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC);
  • Knowledge of bug tracking and tests management tools (such as Jira, Jira X-Ray, TestRail, etc.);
  • Understanding of bug life cycle;
  • Extended PC hardware and software knowledge;
  • Good knowledge of PC specific features;
  • Strong communication (ability to develop and sustain a professional network) and problem-solving skills;
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills;
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player;
  • Proactivity and ability to multitask;
  • Resourcefulness and ability to handle challenging situations;
  • Able to visit the office a few times per week;

Desirable (would be a plus):

  • Hands-on experience with various platforms and OSes (PC, Steam Deck, Windows-based handheld PCs);
  • Good PC platform troubleshooting skills;
  • Experience in testing video and graphic options;
  • Experience in assembling PCs from scratch.
