About this role

Reporting to the Sales Manager DACH, the Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving business growth across the DACH region. You will execute the regional sales strategy and contribute to its ongoing development through customer insights and market intelligence. As the strategic commercial lead for your assigned Key Accounts, you will develop account growth plans, identify new business opportunities and build strong customer relationships to support long-term success. You will seek to expand AAEON’s business opportunities by leveraging your knowledge, insights and industry network to strengthen our value proposition.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Acquire new business and expand AAEON’s business with existing customers by meeting and exceeding assigned sales quotas
  • Create strategic plans to acquire and develop new accounts and expand existing accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for all key accounts in a highly competitive market
  • Build long-term executive relationships across engineering, procurement and management functions within customer organizations while understanding their business needs and presenting solutions to address them
  • Maintain frequent onsite customer visits to Key Accounts and demonstrate willingness to travel up to 70%
  • Identify technology roadmaps, future platforms and design opportunities while understanding customer business, product and solution requirements and industry challenges
  • Ensure full alignment of the sales strategy with the Sales Manager DACH to achieve regional quotas
  • Represent AAEON to the customer and the customer to AAEON in all sales-related matters to ensure mutual success
  • Manage sales budgeting, accurate forecasting, goals, performance standards and measurement criteria
  • Work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders to lead commercial qualification activities and coordinate cross-functional OEM/ODM opportunities
  • Provide structured Voice-of-Customer feedback and market data to AEU Product Management

 

Skills required: 

Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years’ experience in sales within the B2B industrial electronic market. You are ambitious, motivated, determined and willing to face challenges. Honesty, integrity & respect are your core values. Furthermore you have the following skills and experiences:


  • Proven track record of 5+ years’ experience selling complex IT solutions to large organisations and multiple decision makers
  • Experience in Key Account Management and strategic customer relationship management is considered an advantage
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Industrial Engineering and Management is preferred
  • Excellent communication and technical skills to develop relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout organizations up to C-Level management
  • Strategic mindset with a successful record of developing account strategies that have expanded business
  • Solid hunting DNA
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proactive, direct approach toward offerings, markets, and customer business challenges
  • Focused on building solid and trusted relationships with customers
  • Multi-lingual, excellent English skills required, native German speaker
  • Knowledge and experience in the industrial and embedded computing market
  • Familiar with Asian culture is considered a plus
