Lead Game Designer

Our client is an established international iGaming company headquartered in Europe, specializing in the development of high-quality slot games enjoyed by players worldwide. As the company continues to expand its portfolio and launch new titles, it is looking for an experienced Lead Game Designer to drive the creative vision of its games and lead a talented design team. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of Game Designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
• Own the end-to-end game design process, transforming creative concepts into engaging, market-leading slot games.
• Design innovative gameplay mechanics, bonus features, progression systems, and player journeys that maximize engagement and retention.
• Develop and maintain clear, detailed, and well-structured Game Design Documentation (GDD) to support cross-functional collaboration.
• Work closely with mathematicians, producers, artists, animators, developers, and QA teams to deliver exceptional gaming experiences.
• Oversee the implementation of game features, ensuring design quality and consistency throughout the entire development cycle.
• Analyze market trends, player behavior, and competitor products to identify new opportunities and keep the product portfolio ahead of the market.
• Drive innovation by introducing fresh gameplay ideas, mechanics, and features that enhance player experience.
• Review game designs, provide constructive feedback, and make key design decisions that align with product goals.
• Leverage gameplay metrics, player feedback, and data insights to continuously refine game balance, UX, and overall performance.

• 4+ years of experience in Game Design, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering successful slot games within the iGaming industry.
• Deep understanding of slot game design principles, including RTP, volatility, bonus mechanics, player engagement, and game balancing.
• Strong experience creating comprehensive and well-organized Game Design Documentation (GDD).
• Hands-on experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing design teams.
• Solid knowledge of the full game development lifecycle, from concept through release and post-launch optimization.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make informed, data-driven design decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Passion for creating innovative, high-quality games that deliver outstanding player experiences.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English and fluency in Russian.
