Lead Product Designer - Finance & Planning

Role Mission
Design financial systems that feel clear, dependable, and operationally intelligent — even when the underlying workflows are deeply complex.
The Lead Product Designer will help shape the future of Keka’s Finance & Planning experience by driving:
  • clarity in high-stakes workflows,
  • consistency across interconnected systems,
  • confidence in decision-making,
  • and scalable patterns that support multi-market expansion.

This role requires equal strength in systems thinking, product strategy, workflow architecture, and interaction design.

What Success Looks Like
Over the next 12–18 months, this role is expected to help the organization:
1. Simplify Complex Financial Workflows
Reduce operational friction across Payroll, Expenses, Compensation, and Planning workflows by creating systems that are easier to understand, review, approve, and operate.
2. Improve Trust Through UX
Increase customer confidence by improving transparency, predictability, and correctness across financial interactions and approval systems.
3. Build Scalable Design Foundations
Establish reusable interaction patterns, governance models, and design principles that allow
Finance & Planning products to scale consistently across India, GCC, US, and future markets.
4. Drive Product Thinking Through Design
Influence roadmap direction through strong discovery, workflow reasoning, customer understanding, and systems-level problem framing.

Who We’re Looking For Experience
  • 6+ years of experience designing complex B2B SaaS products.
  • Strong experience in enterprise workflows, operational systems, fintech, HR-tech, ERP, payroll, finance, or compliance-heavy domains.
  • Proven ability to handle ambiguity and simplify high-complexity systems.
  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering in fast-moving environments.
  • Core Strengths -

    • Ability to simplify complexity without oversimplifying the domain.
    • High attention to interaction detail, edge cases, and operational realities.
    • Strong visual hierarchy and information architecture skills.
