Legal Advisor – Real Estate
Experience: 3–5 Years
Qualification: LLB mandatory | CS preferred
Role Overview
We are looking for a Legal Advisor to manage legal matters for our real estate business, with strong exposure to litigation, real estate laws, legal drafting, and dispute resolution. The role will involve handling day-to-day legal matters, protecting business interests, managing litigation, and working closely with external legal counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end litigation matters, including civil, commercial, consumer, RERA and other property-related disputes.
- Draft, review and vet agreements, contracts, notices, deeds, MoUs, leases, and other legal documents.
- Handle legal notices, replies, claims, disputes and documentation related to the business.
- Coordinate with external lawyers, advocates and legal consultants for ongoing litigation and court matters.
- Provide legal guidance on real estate transactions, property matters, contracts and business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable RERA, Companies Act and other real estate and regulatory laws.
- Conduct legal due diligence on properties, agreements and transactions and identify potential legal risks.
- Track litigation matters, hearings, case status, documentation and legal deadlines.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain proper records of contracts, litigation, notices, cases and other legal documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in real estate regulations, RERA provisions, judicial decisions and applicable laws.
Key Requirements
- LLB mandatory with 2–5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in litigation and real estate/property-related matters.
- Good understanding of RERA, property laws, contract law and civil/commercial litigation.
- Strong legal drafting, documentation and contract review skills.
- Experience coordinating with advocates and external legal counsel.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and ownership of legal matters.
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Company Secretary (CS) qualification will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in a real estate, construction, property or infrastructure company.
- Exposure to corporate compliance and Companies Act matters.
- Experience independently managing litigation portfolios and legal disputes.
