About this role

Who we are

Helsing is a defence AI company. Our mission is to protect our democracies. We aim to achieve technological leadership, so that open societies can continue to make sovereign decisions and control their ethical standards.

As democracies, we believe we have a special responsibility to be thoughtful about the development and deployment of powerful technologies like AI. We take this responsibility seriously.

We are an ambitious and committed team of engineers, AI specialists and customer-facing programme managers. We are looking for mission-driven people to join our European teams, and apply their skills to solve the most complex and impactful problems. We embrace an open and transparent culture that welcomes healthy debates on the use of technology in defence, its benefits, and its ethical implications.

The role

As LSA Engineer within our S3000L discipline, you will contribute to how our systems are shaped during the design phase and remain supported across their operational life. You will conduct and steer Logistic Support Analyses (LSA) and the Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) in line with the S3000L specification and relevant MIL-STDs. Using LSA and RAM(T)S tooling, you will build, assess and refine the logistic support data that keeps platforms available in the field. You will contribute directly to the design and engineering process, deriving measures for reliability, availability, maintainability and safety. Your work improves the overall availability of the systems that protect the democracies we serve.

The day-to-day

  • Conduct and steer the LSA in accordance with the S3000L specification and relevant MIL-STDs or comparable standards
  • Derive valuable maintenance data from LORA and MTA to be used in an integrated ASD S-Series environment and LCC models
  • Use LSA and RAMS tooling to create, assess and optimise logistic support data
  • Derive reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) measures that increases the availability across the system lifecycle
  • Contribute actively to the design and engineering process to improve overall system availability
  • Maintain and interrogate LSA databases within tooling such as Windchill LSA to support data quality and traceability

You should apply if you

  • Apply the S3000L specification in practice, including MTA and LSA activities
  • Work confidently with LSA and RAMS tooling such as Windchill LSA
  • Translate analysis into practical RAMS measures that improve system availability
  • Interpret and apply MIL-STDs or comparable standards in a logistic support context
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to embed supportability early
  • Communicate fluently in German and English (C1 or equivalent) to collaborate internationally and locally

Note: We operate in an industry where women, as well as other minority groups, are systematically under-represented. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the listed qualifications; ability and impact cannot be summarised in a few bullet points.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with LSA or RAMS practices in the defence or aerospace sector
  • Working knowledge of related S-Series specifications such as S1000D or S2000M

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and VSOP options
  • Relocation support: up to €2,500 and 4 weeks temporary accommodation
  • Learning: €500/£450 yearly allowance
  • Health & wellness: gym membership and mental health support (Nilo.health)
  • Social: regular company events and monthly social allowances
  • Enhanced parental leave: 22 weeks fully paid for primary caregivers & 6 weeks for secondary caregivers
