Materials Management Personnel
About this role
• They will report directly to the US STEEL Construction Manager.
• They will be the direct contact for all deliveries for the new Hot Strip Mill.
• Decide which laydown area the deliveries will go too. Make maps & addresses to send to the trucking companies & others, explain delivery hours & contact the designated contractors for unloading.
• Prepare spread sheets, documents & pictures for reporting via email & present in weekly meetings as needed. Report damages directly to the Project Team Members as they are found.
• File all delivery documents, BOL, Packing Lists & damage reports electronically & paper copies
• Coordinate deliveries from the laydown areas to the construction site with the Construction Management Team.
• The person who will apply for this position must have good experience with;
o Microsoft word, excel, power point, email & other Microsoft software
o Fluent with a computer
o Good verbal communication skills
o Able to read & understand a Microsoft or P6 schedules
o There will be office work as well as on site coordination at the laydown areas & the construction site
• Working hours to start will be 8-9hrs 5 days a week. Once the project starts to ramp up the hrs can be 10-12hrs 6-7 days a week depending on the delivery schedule & what is needed at the construction site from any of the laydown areas.
