Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Hematology - Southeast

Role Overview & Key Functions:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Hematology serves as Karyopharm’s field-based scientific expert supporting multiple myeloma and emerging hematology programs, including potential future indications in myelofibrosis. The MSL is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with national, regional, and community-based thought leaders, investigators, healthcare professionals, and health systems. This role facilitates the compliant exchange of scientific information, gathers actionable medical insights, supports evidence generation activities, and helps advance Karyopharm’s hematology strategy.  We are seeking MSLs across multiple U.S. territories. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop scientific relationships with hematology thought leaders, investigators, and treatment centers focused on multiple myeloma and related hematologic malignancies.
• Serve as Karyopharm’s scientific representative and facilitate balanced, compliant scientific exchange.
• Gather and communicate medical insights, treatment trends, competitive intelligence, and unmet needs.
• Support clinical trial awareness, site identification, and investigator engagement activities in partnership with Clinical Development.
• Support investigator-sponsored research and scientific collaboration opportunities.
• Participate in advisory boards, congresses, steering committees, and medical education initiatives.
• Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, and HEOR teams. Mentor less experienced MSLs and contribute to special projects as assigned. 

Candidate Profile & Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Advanced doctoral degree preferred (PharmD, MD, DO, PhD); candidates with advanced clinical degrees and significant oncology MSL experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of oncology MSL experience required.
• Experience in multiple myeloma required; myelofibrosis experience preferred.
• Product launch and pre-launch experience preferred.
• Strong scientific communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with hematology thought leaders.
•  Ability to travel up to 75%.

At Karyopharm, base pay is one part of a competitive total rewards package that includes comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more), equity and the potential to receive annual target bonuses. Actual pay is based on factors such as location, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. We maintain broad salary ranges to reflect market conditions and the specialized nature of our work. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $180 K - $220 K USD.
