About this role
Overview
We are seeking a Medical Staff Assistant, also referred to as Clinical Assistant or Medical Office Specialist. A Medical Staff Assistant performs various office and clerical duties relating to Medical Staff activities and functions.
Shifts Available: Days
Employment Type: Full-time
Hours: 8-hour shift
Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center –Gadsden, AL

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Able to understand and follow instructions on department policies and procedures
- Able to develop a working knowledge of medical staff credentialing process, as well as assisting with medical staff meeting preparations
- Assist the Supervisor(s) and Coordinator(s) in meeting the day-to-day needs of the Medical Staff Office
Qualifications
Education and Training

- High School Diploma
- Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
- 1-2 years in general or healthcare office
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services department and/or acute care hospital experience
- College degree
