Responsibilities:

Maintains sports equipment and tracks usage. Ensures a safe and hygienic practice environment. Teaches sports skills to a variety of skill levels, working to provide a positive learning experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manages and oversees weekly practices or rehearsals, including organizing lesson plans and creating structured drills. Provides expertise on technique, skills, and form to help athletes improve.
• Creates a roster based on practice attendance, availability, and flexibility. Ensures an inclusive method in determining the active roster for game days.
• Advises the team on any necessary equipment upgrades, league policies, and overall compliance to WCSA policies, such as waivers and travel forms.
• Attends any games/tournaments at the discretion of the team and provides a strong sense of leadership and professionalism while representing the University of Rochester.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of relevant experience required
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous coaching experience preferred
