About this role

Overview

We're hiring Motor Mechanics for our motor repair shop in Pasco, WA.

You'll tear down large motors of every kind, electric, diesel, and industrial pumps, diagnose what failed, and help customer service build the repair quote.

After teardown, the crew refurbishes each unit; it comes back to you for final testing before it ships to the customer. You'll also regularly work on gearboxes, bearings, drive trains, hoists, and conveyor systems.

Why Join Us

  • Skill development: No electric motor experience needed — we train.
  • Day-one benefits: Full medical, dental, and vision from your first shift.

Compensation

  • $24–$29 / hr base

Shift

  • First shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

What You'll Work On

  • Motors: Large electric, diesel, and pump units used in industry.
  • Mechanical parts: Gearboxes, bearings, drive trains, hoists, and belt pulleys.
  • Test equipment: Specialized rigs to retest every rebuild before it ships.

You don't need motor experience to apply. If you've wrenched on cars, trucks, boats, tractors, or heavy equipment, we'll train you on the rest.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose: Inspect failed motors to find the problem before teardown.
  • Quote support: Report your findings so customer service can price repairs.
  • Teardown: Disassemble, clean, and inspect parts with the proper tools.
  • Parts: Identify, requisition, and install replacement or repaired components.
  • Reassembly: Rebuild units carefully, protecting windings and machined surfaces.
  • Testing: Retest every unit for performance before it ships.
  • Job cards: Read cards for repair scope, limits, and status.
  • Deliveries: Occasionally drive rebuilt motors to local customer sites.
