Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nurse Float Pool Emergency Services, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.To thrive in this vital role, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others. • Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.
• Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patient’s condition as needed.
• Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs. Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition.
• Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives, mentoring, etc

This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Job Requirements

Required

• Two (2) years experience as an RN in an Emergency Department or successful completion of applicable clinical and didactic SRDH specialty training course(s)or program
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Active RN license in good standing with the Nevada State Board of Nursing

• American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS)

• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC)  within 6 months 

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS) within 6 months
